Following the closure of Fleetwood Enterprises, Wally Comer, Walt Fuller, and Jerry Henry purchased the manufacturing facility. With it, they began Adventure Homes.

On an August Friday afternoon, the three founders shut down Fleetwood for good, telling each employee that if they wanted to join the Adventure Homes team, they should show up at the facility on Monday at 7am. While they did not yet have details regarding a pay or benefits program yet, almost every employee returned on Monday.

In fact, they had so much success with their returning employees that they were able to start production only 20 minutes late on Monday. Their employees trust them to ensure that they are taken care of, which has cultivated the culture at Adventure Homes.
